Stellar Cyber Requires Full SSD Disks

To maintain system integrity and guarantee consistent performance, the Stellar Cyber DP only supports full-SSD deployments. This includes all of the following components:

• Internal system storage

• External or network-attached storage (for example, SAN/NAS solutions)

• Any secondary storage tiers involved in critical workflows

The use of spinning-disk-based storage (HDD), hybrid drives (SSHD), or any storage appliance containing non-SSD media is not supported and must be strictly avoided.

Issues Caused by Non-SSD Disks

Hybrid or HDD-based solutions, even when used in high-speed caching appliances, do not meet the minimum performance thresholds required by Stellar Cyber.

Systems relying on non-SSD storage have been observed to suffer from rapid cache saturation, resulting in the following conditions:

• Noticeable performance degradation

• Increased system response times

• Reduced reliability under load

• Potential impact to user operations and service delivery

All Stellar Cyber deployments must adhere to this SSD-only policy in order to qualify for performance guarantees and technical support.
