Dashboard Actions

Most Stellar Cyber pages with dashboards have several buttons at the top of the dashboard that allow you to perform actions.

Some pages (such as the general dashboards in the Visualize menu) have only a subset of the actions. Some pages (such as the Malware Sandbox) have additional actions. Additional actions are described in the topics for those specific pages.

The actions on most dashboards are:

Edit

Edits made to a dashboard are only visible to the user who made the edits. To edit a dashboard:

  1. Click Edit. The available actions change and the dashboard display changes to the editing canvas.

  2. Make your changes. You can add new components or move existing components. You cannot delete or change existing components.

See the Dashboard Components page for details on each component.

  3. Click Preview to see your changes implemented.

  4. Click Cancel Edit to abandon all changes.

  5. Click Save when you're done. Your modified dashboard is displayed.

Delete

You can only delete a custom dashboard. To delete a custom dashboard:

  1. Go to the custom dashboard that you want to delete.

  2. Click the Delete button. A Confirm Dashboard Deletion dialog appears.

  3. Click Yes to immediately delete the dashboard. The dashboard is immediately deleted.

  4. Click No to cancel.

Clone

To clone a dashboard:

  1. Go to the dashboard, custom or pre-defined, that you want to clone.

  2. Click the Clone button. A Clone Dashboard screen appears.

  3. Name the new dashboard. Our new dashboard title is Custom HIPAA.

Special characters are not permitted in name fields for Queries, Lookup lists, Reports/Dashboards. Letters, underscores, spaces, dashes, numbers and periods are permitted.

  4. Choose the tenant. We chose All Tenants.

  5. Add a Description.

  6. Click Save.

The new dashboard is displayed and saved to My Dashboards accessible from the Visualize | Creation | Dashboards menu. You can now edit it as with any custom dashboard.

Export

For dashboards that support export, use the following procedure:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard that you want to export.

  2. Click Export.

  3. Select the applicable option:

    • PDF/CSV: For dashboards/reports without tables, you are offered the option to Export as PDF. If the dashboard has one or more tables, the export also downloads CSV file, choose Export as PDF / CSV.

Stellar Cyber converts the page to a PDF and displays it in another browser tab. If applicable, a CSV file is downloaded to your desktop.

    • Configuration: For selected dashboards/reports, you may also be offered the option to Export as Configuration. In this case, a JSON file is created for you to save on your local system. From there you can import it within the Visualize | Creation | Dashboards page on other systems.

You must enable pop-ups for Stellar Cyber to display the PDF.
